WSHS President Don Paul Shearer and Executive Director Janice Lynx gave a short presentation at the Fairview Township Supervisor’s meeting on Monday, Dec. 6. After the presentation, Fairview Township Supervisors approved a motion to designate the West Shore Historical Society as the official historical society for the township, joining our municipalities of Hampden, Lemoyne, Lower Allen, and Wormleysburg.

WSHS forged a relationship with Fairview Township through our efforts on behalf of the Sheepford Road Bridge, which they support and appreciate. In the coming weeks we will be meeting with Fairview Township Manager Don Martin to discuss how we can assist the township going forward.  

We are excited to be expanding, now crossing into York County with the addition of Fairview Township.   Who knows what’s next!
