As part of “Round and About with the West Shore Historical Society,” a collaboration between West Shore Historical Society (WSHS,) West Shore Photography Club (WSPC,) and Art Center School and Galleries of Mechanicsburg, we are offering a presentation, free and open to the public. Membership in WSHS or WSPC is not required. Workshop will take place at the Art Center School and Galleries – 18 Artcraft Drive, Mechanicsburg.
“Round & About with WSHS – History Through Photography”

This presentation will take you on a tour of your own backyard as we discuss the historical significance of the places whose images were captured for the exhibit. WSHS and WSPC have been visiting & photographing historic and other sites in Hampden, Lower Allen, Lemoyne and Wormleysburg, with group trips to the Sheepford Road Bridge, Peace Church, Rebecca Bitner House, and Basehore Farm. Individual trips to other sites were also encouraged, from a list of properties provided by WSHS. A brief introduction to West Shore Historical Society and a summary of what we learned from this project will also be shared.
